Eric Rasmussen is an award-winning investigative journalist whose career spans two decades. He has reported and anchored for TV stations across the country including Minneapolis, Boston, San Francisco, and Orlando.
Eric is a winner of the prestigious duPont-Columbia Award and has also received multiple Emmy, Murrow, and Associated Press awards in recognition of his investigative work.
“Some of my most rewarding stories include a national investigation uncovering how thousands of foster children had their cases closed while they were still missing, exposing allegations of discrimination in banking, and helping a US Marine veteran prove his citizenship after his own government denied his passport application.”
Eric’s interest in journalism began in high school after giving a speech about the physics of baseball during a debate tournament, where a judge wrote, “I felt like I was watching a TV news report!”
He later graduated summa cum laude from Boston University with a degree in broadcast journalism.
Eric’s work has taken him around the globe to places such as Spain, the Panama Canal, and Sweden, where he reported on some of the toughest drunk driving laws in the world.
When he’s not in front of the camera, Eric is behind the turntables pursuing his other passion as a DJ.
“I fell in love with hip-hop music as a kid in the 80’s and I’ve collected hundreds of records since then. My hobby serves as a reminder to myself that you can’t always judge a book by its cover!”
